Hi Everyone Welcome to December 2012 Newsletter

Kurri Open Day

Golf was the winner on the day, everyone had a great time and once again we were honoured with a visit from PGA Tour player and great friend to the club Nathan Green, Darren Green, Toronto Professional his son Reece and GoalKeeping legend Chris Bowling made up the group and all were impressed with the day.
221 Players took part and emerging the winner was Russell Bunn from Newcastle Golf Club with a score of 71 , Zig Grzanka from Maitland Golf Club won the nett with a 64 blitzing the field by 2 shots from local legend and Decembers Monthly Mug winner John Parsons. 2012 AGM was held on Wednesday the 5th December, 13 people were their to witness the events, some would say very disappointing turnout but obviously not to much wrong with the management of the club as no-one wants to change things, next years Board is as follows
President - Kevin Desmond
Senior Vice President  - Terry Bain
Captain - Greg Wyper
Treasurer - Dave Parkinson
Committee - Sue Ford, Paul Heggie, Ian MacKenzie, Mark MacKenzie and Stephen Threlfo.
Financials have been available in the clubhouse and our accountant was on hand at the meeting to answer any questions, it was explained while there was a balance sheet loss the club traded very well and was in a good position to move forward, weather has been a major factor over the past 12 months with rain effecting player numbers.

Atmosphere in the Clubhouse on Open Day was terrific but really must get a step ladder for our barstaff.
New Pipe work has now been completed along
the expressway as well as  the new pumpshed
at the treatment works.

Sponsors Day was a huge success with 80 golfers turning out for the day, winners on the day were R.Niznik, K.Goodridge, G.hodgson and G Johnson , in 2nd place was R.Wyper, A.Wyper, K.Fielding and P.Fielding . Neil Day thanked the club on behalf of the sponsors and said he looked forward to many more years of support for the club.
